Stephen Lowery

Stephen has ten years of investment experience and joined Frog in March 2010 as a Partner to focus on investments into high growth companies in IT and Cleantech.

Stephen was previously at 3i where he spent over seven years as a venture and growth equity investor, specialising in IT and cleantech investments across Europe.   He has led investments into some of Europe’s most exciting companies including Nujira, Icera and Light Blue Optics.  His successful exits include Respond (acquired by CDC Software), UbiNetics (acquired by Aeroflex and CSR) and Insensys (acquired by Schlumberger and Moog).

In addition to working with high growth companies, Stephen has experience of secondary transactions, turnarounds, corporate spinouts and restructurings.  Most recently, he has been working with a leading UK bank on a number of debt-to-equity conversions from within its banking portfolio.

Stephen started his career at PA Consulting, where he advised companies on technology strategy and product development.  He is an engineer by background and holds a MEng in Engineering from Cambridge University.
