Ostara’s resulting fertilizer offering, Crystal Green®, is a slow-release fertilizer produced without greenhouse gas emissions and which does not leach into and pollute the water table.
Based in Vancouver, Canada, Ostara's first commercial plant began operating in Edmonton, Alberta in May 2007.
