The Frog investment ethos is simple. We find visionary, hard-working entrepreneurial management teams and we give them the capital and support they need to develop their companies and realise their ambitions or to solve incumbent shareholder and debt issues.

There is no typical Frog deal, but there are visible themes. We invest primarily in the cleantech and IT & digital media sectors, where disruptive forces are strong. Our prime focus is backing growth-stage companies, helping them beyond initial success to become strong, profitable businesses. Selectively, we also arrange debt or participate in special situations.

The human side of investing can't be overemphasised. To work closely for years building a company depends absolutely on great working relationships. We believe that work should be fulfilling, exciting, and profitable - all the reasons people start companies in the first place.

When we meet a team and an opportunity that we believe in, we jump. We lead or partner on investments where companies require €2 million to €20 million of funding for expansion capital, minority purchases, management buy-outs or acquisitions. Occasionally, we invest in quoted companies.
